I am not the girl that has pink this and pink that, pink pens and pink pillows, but I have grown fond the color. I find it most likeable when it is paired with a less feminine color, such as grey; it becomes more sophisticated rather than childish.
My mom is seeking ideas to paint her hallway, but there is a dilemma; currently her hall is lined with dreadful 70’s paneling and doesn’t have a single window for light. Furthermore, her house is located in the woods beside a river, which rules out all cold colors. As it is a small hallway, a space that is only quickly passed through, it is appropriate to use a playful color that you otherwise wouldn’t want to look at all too often. The pink walls will warm up the little house in the woods, and a grey trim will keep it from looking like my little pony.

I love when detail is added to forgotten places. Detailed risers add a special touch that is unexpected.
Methods: paint, wall paper, tiles, mosaic, wood, vinyl decals, etc. Just to name a few…

I am not a fan of clutter but I do find an unorganized stack of books to be more than acceptable. I feel it is a piece of art within itself and the slight disorder is somewhat comforting. The stacked São Tomé stone, a traditional Brazilian building material, pleasantly mirrors the books.
